Cos'è Minos System - What's Minos System

Minos X Software

Main Minos X Functions
Minos X Functions

With Minos X the manager has available, an accurate and precise light director that in real time can visualize the situation of the lighting system.

Minos X Software was conceived to be easily personalized to the requirements of each single user.
It allows the combination, during the configuration phase of each single cabinet, the following parameters:

  • number of lamps associated to each cabinet (max.255) and their relevant group
  • 3, pre-defined telephone numbers for the sending of emergency calls
  • events management, with the possibility of associating the recording of each event to a local archive, the command on output relay, or on a group of lamps, the activation of max 3 emergency calls (max 2 weekly and astronomical timings), the setting of the On-Off command lamp
  • relative settings to the astronomical clock with the possibility of setting annual switching on and off cycles according to pre-configured or personalised customer requirements, to set up 3 programming for the execution of commands on output relay or on groups of lamps, to set up 20 weekly timings for the execution of On-off commands on output relay or on groups of lamps.

The main options
Minos X offers the possibility of adding to the standard monitoring activity, of all components, which constitute the whole of any public lighting system, some very interesting optional functions.

Astronomical clock
The determining of the moment of switching on or off of the system depends on the morphological condition of the territory (flat, mountainous) and by the presence of the sea, which causes a reverberation effect.
Normally the moment of switching on or off of the system is commanded by photocells that create problems of energy waste, due to possible dirt deposits on the photo sensible element, consequently extending the switching on period of the system, creating greater energy consumption and not allowing the synchronized switching on of the system.
The astronomical clock incorporate din ANDROS optimizes the normal operational cycle of the system (evening switch on and early riser switch off) by setting the values of latitude, longitude, timezone, value of civil twilight, thereby eliminating energy waste due to the imperfections of twilight relay (photocells) and allowing the simultaneous switching on of the system.

Electrical remote reading interface parameters
Electrical remote reading interface parameters

Through the electrical remote reading interface parameters it is possible:

  • to download the last reading carried out by Andros
  • to download all past readings present in the memory of Andros (to a maximum of 552 readings)
  • to visualize all relative data downloaded from the last Andros reading (on one single screen)
  • to measure active and reactive energy, signal frequency, tension measurements and current measurements in the three phases
  • to measure active power and power factors in the three phases
  • to measure the distortion of harmonic tension and current in the three phases
  • to measure the diagrams of harmonic tension and current in the three phases (and relative limits permitted by the regulations).

Minosmap: Cartographic interface of the systems
Minosmap supplies to the customer a tool capable of making available in graphical format, information regarding the condition of the system that Minos System is managing and monitoring, and to manipulate this information with the aim of allowing the final user, to visualize on the map, the state of the public lighting system of his own city.

With Minosmap it is possible:
Minosmap
  • to navigate the map of the city and to execute zoom operations. Visualizing the entire map (navigator) while highlighting the zoomed-on region, and by moving quickly within the map by clicking on the navigator or through Pan push-buttons for movement on the axis
  • to edit the map contents, insert objects (light points and cabinets) move them or remove them in an appropriate area or controlled page, only accessible to the users administrators
  • to search for an object on the map by selecting it from the Minos X menu tree. If the object has been placed on the map, the selection of the menu will correspond to a centralized point on the map of the selected object, identified by a pointer, always maintaining the same scale value of the previous visualization
  • to select an object on the map and to move it to the Minos X menu tree, thereby loading all the relative data of the clicked on object
  • to personalize, through the selection of a three dimensional map, optimized by a screen resolution of 640x480, 800x600 and 1024x768.

Interface for the remote reading of meteological parameters
Remote reading of meteological parameters

The interface for the remote reading of meteorological parameters allows you to acquire three categories of information:

1. Actual weather situation that allows the visualization of:

  • date and precise hour
  • wind: speed [m/s] and direction [°]
  • temperature [°C]
  • humidity [%RH]
  • pressure [mb]
  • actual rain in course and its entity (Daily [mm], Rainfall Rate [mm/hr]). Indicator of physical well-being (Wind Chill, Heat Index, Humidex, THW Index)
  • altitude [m]
  • battery exhaustion indicator.

2. Last weather situation with the possibility of two different visualizations:

a) Information expressed in the form of meteogramms:

  • wind: the maximum speed in 6 hours
  • the minimum and maximum temperature in 6 hours
  • the minimum and maximum humidity in 6 hours
  • index of the minimum and maximum stability in 6 hours
  • amount of rainfall in 6 hours.

b) Information expressed in the form of climatic diagrams by Walter and Lieth:

  • average yearly temperature
  • average yearly rainfall
  • absolute maximum temperature
  • average maximum temperature of the hottest month
  • yearly temperature range
  • average minimum temperature of the coldest month
  • absolute minimum temperature
  • monthly temperature and monthly rainfall diagram.

3. The maximum forecast for the future weather situation by the visualization of the following parameters:

  • forecast improvement/worsening (pointers: speed of variation of barometric pressure + variation of temperature + variation of humidity)
  • Storm forecast (pointers: precipitability, Showalter Index, K Index)
  • forecast of dew, ice, fog (pointer: Dew Point)
  • hail forecast (pointer: Wet-bulb zero WBZ)
  • cloud altitude calculation.
