Characteristics of the Minos System
Remote diagnosis and Remote management up to a single light point
The single lamp control function represents a totally innovative function, mainly because through a simple connection to a Syra module in series to the feed line, it is possible to control the lamp by a survey and signal device under the following operational conditions:
- switched on lamp
- command switched off lamp
- working lamp to full power
- working lamp to reduced power as a result of command
- faulty or unsuitable condenser (
insufficient correction of the power factor
)
- interrupted lamp
- lamp exhaustion (blinking)
- lamp short circuit
- faulty fuse
- absence of current (circuit lamp not connected).
The technique of fault acknowledgment of the lamp is protected by various international industrial patents of invention that render Minos System unique in its field.
The Syra module is compatible with whatever existing lamps (type, power and make) that are on the market and can be installed in the manhole cover, to the post opening or inside an illuminated body.

Power Line Carrier
The application of the communication power line carrier eliminates the necessity of added wiring and introduces the flexibility of putting into effect, commands in a dynamic way, in various areas and for various timetables (modifiable at every moment according to necessity) for the choking of systems (selective switching off, of single luminous points) and/or the reduction of the luminous flow of the same.
The choking of systems and/or the reduction of the luminous flow, answer the requirement of rationalizing the energy resources in those timetables and/or periods in which the greatest number of people and vehicles are reduced, creating economic and environmental benefits.
More precisely the technique of power line carrier transmission allows:
- to receive from every luminous point information regarding its own state or condition (on/off) and/or malfunctioning, without resorting to or adding new wiring
- to send to every luminous point, instructions of on/off commands without resorting to new or added wiring
- to send to every luminous point, command instructions of operation to full power/reduced power (for lamps equipped with a local power source) without resorting to new or added wiring
- to send to every luminous point instructions for gradual regulation of the luminous flow (for lamps equipped with electronic dimmer devices with a local power source) without resorting to new or added wiring.

The most significant services give the possibility:
- to access simultaneously from many work stations the data archives and events, which contain the operating condition of the systems (operational state, current anomalies, interventions carried out, etc.)
- to dynamically reshape from various qualified stations the system operating cycle, according to requirements and logical personalized alternatives
- to supply support and give remote assistance to the customer
- to charge/update remotely, the managerial applicative software, new releases and/or newly released functionality.
